No. At IslandRent we don't require a credit card or security deposit, even with basic third-party insurance. You can pay by debit card, Visa, MasterCard, MBWay or Multibanco.
You only need to be 18 years old with a valid driving licence. We don't charge any young driver fee.
Upon arrival, our team picks you up at the main car park of Ponta Delgada Airport and drives you to our shop, where we hand over the vehicle. The transfer is completely free.
Our opening hours are 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, but we offer pick-ups and drop-offs at any time. Outside regular hours, a small out-of-hours fee applies.
